I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Dying and Living
In the human body and Spirit there is always a wintertime,
when something is dying and falling away.
There is always simultaneously a springtime, when something new is
coming to life.

day comes
the sun peeking joyfully above the mountains
flaming orange and red
the day goes, light dropping into darkness
fall, winter, spring, summer
the seasons too come and go
life is constant change
a coming and a going
a living and a dying
and truly
the old must die for the new to arrive
there is no sunrise, without sunset
there is no change, no new thing,
unless the old ways die,
the seed goes into the dark cold earth
and must die there
before warmth and water
bring it to life again
you cannot have a resurrection without a death
there is much in our lives which must die
for us to change
to move forward to newness
old fears
old values, prejudices, stereotypes must go
old failures must be discarded
only then can our hearts and souls be free
only then can the winter of our discontent
our frozenness
give way to spring
to newness
