Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

The Divine Narrative

No one ever knows what divine narrative the Sacred may be writing with the crooked lines of someone’s struggles, misdeeds, and omissions.

never underestimate the creative
innovative power
of Sacred Presence

sometimes we look at ourselves
with all our failures,
our bad choices,
and brutish and hideous behavior

and we write our own ending to our story

it is not a happy ending!
it is at the very least, dark comedy
if not outright tragedy

Sometimes we look at others
and simply want to close the book
for the conclusion seems so clear

but the Sacred specializes in surprise endings!
and because we are Sacred Children
the narrative is always
in some way
divine

I do not know what the Sacred One with do with me
or you,
or that man waving the Trump banner,
or that woman with the Bernie button

I do not know what the Sacred will do with
that one who feels the only answer to any problem
is brute power

I do not know what will happen with that person
struggling with addiction
or that person who hears inner voices
that howl and curse

I only know they are Sacred children
Connected to One who is Love

And I believe that since God is a hopeless lover

Grace will abound
Grace will abound
