Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Hope

“hope, as Chesterton said, is the power of being cheerful in circumstances that we know to be desperate.”
― Anne Lamott
___________________________________________________

it was a night without hope
twisted sheets
pillows askew
and a mind that would not shut the #@&%@#! Up

a night littered
with worries
about things that didn’t happen
things that did happen

a night with a vivid dream
in which I failed, miserably

I woke up screaming
“I hate myself” and
“I suck at life”

now it is time

to dig deep and find the power
the Presence

to find the calm, the space
the ability to breathe again
that comes from having
Love
God
The Sacred

Something other, something bigger
Present
at my core

the source of hope
the beginning of a smile
