I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Hope
“hope, as Chesterton said, is the power of being
cheerful in circumstances that we know to be desperate.”
― Anne Lamott
___________________________________________________
it was a night without hope
twisted sheets
pillows askew
and a mind that would
not shut the #@&%@#! Up
a night littered
with worries
about things that didn’t
happen
things that did happen
a night with a vivid
dream
in which I failed,
miserably
I woke up screaming
“I hate myself” and
“I suck at life”
now it is time
to dig deep and find
the power
the Presence
to find the calm, the
space
the ability to breathe
again
that comes from having
Love
God
The Sacred
Something other,
something bigger
Present
at my core
the source of hope
the beginning of a smile
