I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Come Dance With Me
"Every child has known God, Not the God of
names, Not the God of don'ts, Not the God who ever does Anything weird, But the
God who knows only 4 words And keeps repeating them, saying: "Come Dance
with Me."
- Hafiz
o world of spring and autumn, birth and dying
The endless cycle of idea and action,
Endless invention, endless experiment,
Brings knowledge of motion, but not of stillness;
Knowledge of speech, but not of silence;
Knowledge of words, and ignorance of the Word.
All our knowledge brings us nearer to our
ignorance,
All our ignorance brings us nearer to death,
But nearness to death no nearer to GOD.
Where is the Life we have lost in living?
Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?
Where is the knowledge we have lost in
information?
The cycles of Heaven in twenty centuries
Bring us farther from GOD and nearer to the Dust.
~ TS Eliot
And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you
change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of
heaven.
~ Jesus

when was the last time
I lived life
with the exuberance of a child?
when was the last time
I gasped at a sunrise
jumped into a puddle
skipped through the house
danced and twirled in the sand?
when was the last time
my laughter was free and real
and my joy
just joy?
when was the last time
I danced like no one was watching?
when did life get lost
in the living?
when did the Sacred One become
a matter of ideology, and rules
rather than the one
who asks us to dance
the dance of life
with joy?
left foot
right foot
left foot
twirl!
