Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

God's Grandeur

early morning light
sifts through
the tall timber

slowly
revealing
the grandeur once hidden by the dark
grass glows green
below the
glittering leaves of an aspen
stirred gently
by the wind

amazing colors gleam
as iris
purple and gold
peek out from fragrant
mounds of oregano
bravely taunting the deer
who tiptoe through
the morning
looking for their morning snack

the lilacs
not yet sure they are safe
from some late visit by winter
shyly open their buds to the sun
not quite
ready to blossom
testing the warmth

so the day unfolds
beauty

so too
God's grandeur is
revealed
in each of us
God's creations
as we trust the warmth of God's love
and slowly
shyly perhaps
unfold
blossom

and reveal that sacred self
that God created us to
be
beauty
