Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Reluctant Growth

Usually, without growth being forced on us, few of us go willingly on the spiritual journey.

Richard Rohr

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adversity
We hate it Lord
I mean really!
Isn’t being a child of the Ruler of All
Isn’t participating in the Sacred
Supposed to make everything easy?

Kind of like being in the Spiritual 1%?

And yet life happens
Big time!

Lord, help us to remember
That when adversity comes
We really have two choices

We can allow it to destroy us
Eat us up from inside
We can wallow in anger or self-recrimination
We can become less…..

Or we can go deep
Deep to the heart of who we are
And find You

In our radical vulnerability
We can cry for help
And reach out
Desperately for our heavenly parent!

Much as a child
No
Exactly as a child

And find comfort
And strength
And love
And
Yes

Growth

Thank you for transforming trial
into growth
perhaps reluctant growth
but growth

Remind us O God
To choose
Wisely
To choose
You
