Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

A matter of sight

“Some things have to be believed to be seen.”
― Madeleine L'Engle
______________________________________

it seems to be true
we see what we want to see
we hear what we want to hear

our beliefs and values color everything
our perceptions of other people
of politicians
of events

there are no exceptions
this is the way it is

it is perhaps a curse
but perhaps also a blessing

for if we believe in love
if we believe in grace
if we believe in compassion and inclusion

then we will see in the world
beauty
and we will see in events
hope
and we will see in other people
a precious soul

and we will see God
everywhere

somethings have to be believed to be seen
