Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Heart Set Free

Alive to the thrill of the world
Meet the dawn on a mountain
Wash your face in the morning dew
Feel the favor of the earth,
Go out naked in the wind

John O’Donohue, To Bless the Space Between Us, Axioms for Wildness

We are so constrained
today I encountered TSA
spent hours in a metal tube hurtling through the air
hunkered down the back of a taxi
and ended my journey in a room about the size of my bathroom at home

everywhere there are constraints
we are trapped and held captive by
time and space
by buildings closing in upon us
and people

O so many people

But the heart is free
and even in the concrete world in which I now sit
my heart can soar and capture
the sun on the mountain

and even in the midst of hate and fear
my heart can know love
and give love

our souls do not need to be constrained
they are not designed so,
they are naked children
dancing in the sun
