I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Circle of Compassion
What cannot be held alone
Can be held in community
it does not matter what the unbearable burden is
loss
failure
fear
depression
inner demons that will not let one go
when we are isolated and alone
these things can fragment us
literally tear us apart
leaving us scattered
and wondering
how many times a person can break
before the pieces are too small to piece back together
what cannot be held alone
can be held with a circle of compassion
we need each other
we need community
not a faux community full of pretense and posturing
full of rigidity and judgment
not a community that is full of people
worrying about who is right and who is wrong
who is in and who is out
but a community where the Sacred is Present
and people are bound together
by the power of Sacred love
and all joys
and pains
are held
together
