Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Ends and Means

The end justifies the means
or so they say
so they believe
so they live

and so we live
in a world of deciet
and oppression
and terror

those ends
yes, they do matter
what are the desires of our hearts
power?
pleasure?
service?
they can be both good and bad

ends that reflect the love of God
and live
and justice

ends that serve
the dark gods
of power, and hate, and fear

but so the the means
how we pursue the cries of our hearts
matters

even if our end be noble
if the means is not
the trail leads us into dark places
where we become what we hate

we lose by winning
and leave in our wake
fear, and pain
oppression and injustice

we may lose by winning
we may gain power, by lying
we may convince and shape, by fear
we may fight death with death
and hate with hate

but in the end
we have lost our way
we have lost our hearts....

 Prov 4:20-27
My son, pay attention to what I say;
listen closely to my words.
21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;
22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to a man's whole body.
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.
24 Put away perversity from your mouth;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
25 Let your eyes look straight ahead,
fix your gaze directly before you.
26 Make level paths for your feet
and take only ways that are firm.
27 Do not swerve to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.
