There are some O God
who insist that life is misery and despair
there are some who even insist
that the true sign of faithfulness
to you
O Creator
is suffering
O Lord
I am suffering!
I must being doing Your will
and they are quick to point this out
to all whom will listen
O miserable person that I am
how God must love me
what a servant I am
but Lord
we are your children
no parent wants his or her children
to suffer
and you have told us
that you come into our live
that our joy might be
more
complete
what about joy do we not understand?
