Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Wisdom comes slowly

The light gathers slowly over the river
profound darkness only grudgingly gives way to deep gray
and then slowly to coastal gray
as the fog slowly lifts

in the dark the sound of waves crashing against the pier
and the cries of the gulls echo
invisibly

sometimes the morning burst into being
bright rays
brilliant
illuminating

but not this morning
today
it takes patience
to welcome the dawn

so too
sometimes
wisdom comes slowly
