Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

We are the cross roads

“The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
― Frederick Buechner, Wishful Thinking: A Theological ABC

deep inside me
oozing out through my very pores

are the gifts of the Sacred
angel fire
love, joy, peace,
forbearance, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (yes, see Galatians 5)

deep inner resources
gifts of uncompromising love

not just so I can survive
and perhaps flourish
in this world of peril and danger

but so that I can touch
the deep hunger
the deep darkness

only the fire
the light from within
can dispel
the hungering dark
