I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Faux Power
“We are only just beginning to understand the power of love
because we are just beginning to understand the weakness of force and
aggression.”
B.F. Skinner, Walden Two
______________________________________________________
we think
it is all about strength
about who is bigger, or stronger
who has strength of will
we believe is about who is willing to use their power
to cow
manipulate
coerce others
the more brutal
the less compassionate
the more power
this is the principle of least love
this is the philosophy of many
who make the imposition of power
through the use of money
physical strength
position
guns
a way of life
this is the appeal
of athletic superstars
and politicians (for some)
even mega churches
it is not the way of Jesus
who saw the weakness of power
which ultimately oppresses, diminishes, and destroys
even those who use it
and knew
the power of
love
