Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Soft Hearts

To get closer to Truth and Right, we need a beautiful and soft heart
                             Shams al Tabriz
________________________________________

We need some people with soft hearts
Not arrogant hearts
Not calculating hearts

Not hearts full of anger
Or hate
Not ones stuffed with greed

But hearts that are softened by Sacred Presence
And are able to embrace
others

----  we interrupt this poem with news from the latest party convention ---

Currently in the city of Cleveland
The slimy ugly underbelly of American is being scratched
People are rejoicing in the opportunity
To not just embrace the worst parts of themselves
The angry hateful parts,
But exalt and legitimize that which is ugly and hard
And to rejoice in a division that benefits them
And wounds others

The circus next stops in Philadelphia

-----  now back to our poem ------

for this is the truth we often deny,

when we find ourselves
“in” the Sacred, which is love
we will find there with us
               surprise
those we least expect

for, as a far better poet says
“In love no longer thou and I exist,
for Self has passed away in the Beloved” (Attar)

when we find ourselves in God Love Sacred Beloved
then all this
Orlando, Baton Rouge, St Paul, Dallas,
Baton Rouge (again), Cleveland, Philadelphia
will end
