the posts on facebook
I listen to the words of the politicians
and see the actions of those
who wound an crush
there are so many hateful people Lord
and I hate people like that!!!!!

Forgive me Lord
forgive us all for the ways in which
while looking at what we consider the “sins” of
others
fail to see that at a fundamental leve
they are us
and we are them
you call us Lord to understand not only
that we share with all people a common capacity
for God
that we all have within us the seed of the sacred
but that we share with all people a common
capacity
for fear, and anger and yes
prejudice
we are in this together Lord
all of us
and it is together
that we will find out way
home
