Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Sacred Speak

There is a voice that doesn’t use words.
                                                          ~ Rumi

the Sacred speaks all the time
we may not hear
for we humans seem to be hearing impaired

but the still
the Sacred speaks

the divine words
waft around us

a cacophony of
laughter and song
drifting on the morning breeze
riding the rays of the new born sun

dripping richly onto the
earth in the melting snow

can you hear it ?
that voice?

there it was
just for a moment
lurking in the laughter of a grandchild
the purr of a kitten
the smile of friend
the touch of a loved one

there is a voice that doesn’t use words
